GM SUV Recall

Another recall has been issued for multiple models of GM SUVs. A dangerous and crucial safety issue has been found with these vehicles. A short circuit can occur when the vehicles are not running. Owners of these GM brands of SUVs are advised to park their vehicles outside to avoid a house fire should these vehicles short circuit and get on fire.

  • Isuzu Ascender 2006-2007

The Issue with these vehicles is the master power switch module on the driver side doors. The power switch modules are prone to corrosion because of fluid entry. The corrosion can cause the module to short circuit and catch fire.

GM first recalled these vehicles in 2012 and tried to fix this problem on another occasion. GM opted to modify the master power switch modules instead of replacing them. GM is set to notify the owners of affected vehicles and have them go to dealerships to inspect the circuit boards and see if they need replacement.
